The Sell Side Ana­lyst (SSA) is a place for infor­ma­tion, best prac­tices, resources and intel­li­gence around what it takes to be a good ana­lyst in gen­eral and a great sell-side or invest­ment ana­lyst in particular.

Our approach is designed to inte­grate lots of the basic skills one learns in busi­ness school or via pro­grams like the CFA with prac­ti­cal tech­niques and skills to be pro­duc­tive in the real world.

Sell Side Ana­lyst was cre­ated and is pro­duced by Research 2.0 to share our knowl­edge base more broadly with other expe­ri­enced ana­lysts and other invest­ment research professionals.

SSA also works to under­stand, develop and doc­u­ment the evo­lu­tion of equity research and the indus­try it serves.

We deliver value in two ways:

• Mem­ber­ship — Prac­tic­ing ana­lysts and research pro­fes­sion­als can get help with their research process, pack­ag­ing, and con­clu­sions. We can also help to iden­tify addi­tional resources for infor­ma­tion gath­er­ing and analytics.
• Intern­ship — We run a struc­tured intern­ship pro­gram that gives a few peo­ple the chance to build a base of expe­ri­ence that will help them move into a prac­tic­ing research pro­fes­sional role as an asso­ciate analyst.
